Termite and house inspections should be done together but do you really need one?

Paying for a house inspection, you are getting your house examined for issues that include termite damage. However it takes at least another 30 minutes on top of the 90 minutes allocated for the house inspection to be thorough and look for active termites. This is why there is an additional fee, for a pest inspection in addition to the normal charge. If two reports are to be written up, there will need to be that extra fee. It's only fair for the time spent and it is in your best interest to have it done. I like to be pro active but also up front with my clients, I will only charge out the additional fee once on site and if an issue has been discovered. If I see no need for the pest inspection, I will not call you and advise it should be done. The way I see it, if you want to have both services done, I am more than happy to spend 2 hours at the house and supply two reports. If you are happy to just know that damage was discovered, you then know that there is likely structural damage and not want to proceed with buying the house, that's fine too, why should you spend more at this point.
Fees and charges are explained on the home tab above. Thanks for having a read and I hope I can assist you with your biggest purchase, your next rental property or with an inspection for your holiday home.

It's good to know that you should see if a pest control company is licensed. My neighbor was telling me last night about how her kitchen has been having an ant issue for the past couple of days, and she can't get rid of them on her own, so she wants to find a pest control service to help her with getting rid of them. I'll make sure to pass these tips along to her so that she can know what to look for when searching for a pest control company.

I want to get a home, but I want to make sure that there aren't any issues with termites. It makes sense that I would want to have the home inspected before I buy it. It makes sense that I would want to get a pest control professional to help me out with this.

Thanks to this article I now realize that we need to have an inspection and have the inspector look around for termites. My husband and I want to avoid costly repairs or replacements in our two-story house since we are saving up for our retirement in five years. We are hoping to talk with termite control experts on Friday to ensure that all pests will be removed from our property.

It's interesting to know that inspection can help you identify if there are damages in the house and would let you not proceed with buying it if you believe so. With that in mind, I should probably hire a termite control service to get the house that I want checked, since most parts would be made from wood. It will give me peace of mind that I will move into a house that I will buy with a good condition.

I was captured when you mentioned that it takes at least 30 minutes to thoroughly inspect if the house has active termites. My sister is buying a house, and she wants to make sure there's no problem with termites. I will tell her to look for a termite company to conduct an inspection of the house.

Thanks for pointing out that there will be additional fees when the pest inspection services would have to locate the termites. I will share this information with my husband so that we can prepare our budget for this. We just feel like we might have those pests in the attic which we are concerned about, since most parts of the house are made from wood.
